Charlie Rose works with GRPR clients to navigate a shifting public-opinion landscape — monitoring sentiment, responding to crises, polishing executive profiles and protecting brand standing as the conversation moves.
His foundation is sports media and management at Oklahoma State University and Southern Methodist University, plus communications roles inside both athletic departments.
After a B.A. in sports media from Oklahoma State — where he worked in the PR office as a full-time student for three years, serving as the primary communications contact for two teams and the secondary contact for Cowboy football during the 2022 season — he returned to Dallas–Fort Worth. He earned an M.S. in sports management from SMU while serving as a graduate assistant in the SMU Athletic Public Relations office in 2022–23.
As Assistant Director of Public Relations for SMU Athletics, Charlie led communications for five NCAA Division I programs and served as secondary sports information director for Mustang football. He coordinated interviews and stories, wrote releases, managed social channels and kept messaging consistent across athletics.
He also supported marketing around SMU’s “Dallas’ Team” initiative and messaging for SMU’s move to the Atlantic Coast Conference.
In April 2024 he joined GRPR as Director of Strategic Communications, moving from teams and coaches to executives, public officials and private and public entities.
